You may remember the name and face as Wendy Enneking transitioned to the healthcare field after a 10-year career in television news broadcasting, including time in the Lexington area. Although exciting, television media was not providing complete satisfaction as Wendy was seeking a career field with both greater challenges and rewards. After time considering options, she centered her focus on education in the nursing field, beginning with a bachelor’s degree from The University of Kentucky and working in Critical Care at the UK Medical Center. Feeling she was on the right path, Wendy pushed forward to climb higher and become an integral part of patient care, continuing her education with Vanderbilt University to obtain a Masters Degree and then her Doctorial Degree soon after.
In 2013, Wendy began her ventures in integrative medicine, learning from an invaluable mentor in the field, Dr. James Roach. There, Wendy was able to use her traditional medical training and blend in concepts of integrative medicine, refining her methodologies for providing an individualized, well-rounded and whole-person approach to the care of each of her patients.
Wendy’s patients can expect a highly personalized assessment, laboratory testing, recommendations, and treatment protocols not normally found in conventional health care settings. A consultation with Wendy will be unlike a visit to a traditional health care provider as you can expect to be listened to, considered as an individual and offered realistic options that match your goals.
